## Description

Malnad Ultra is an annual trail-running event in India, set amid the hills and changing conditions of the Malnad landscape. Celebrating 10 years of trails, the race offers four distances designed for runners with varying levels of ability and experience: 30 km, 50 km by day, 50 km by night, and 100 km. Each course has its own timing, difficulty and route character, with climbs, descents and uneven terrain throughout.

The 30 km course is the shortest option, with a six-hour limit and 951 metres of elevation gain. The 50 km day race allows 10 hours, while the moonlit night race allows 11 hours; both feature 1,705 metres of elevation gain. The 100 km category is the longest, with a 21-hour limit and 3,410 metres of climbing. Runners may encounter exposed ridges, cold starts, hot weather, rain, fog, darkness, slush, waterfalls and wildlife. Malnad Ultra provides race information, course profiles, eligibility guidance and trip-planning resources. Its next edition is scheduled for November 28, 2026, with registrations open for some categories.
