## Description

The Malta Aquarist Society is a hobbyist club serving aquarium enthusiasts in Malta since 1970. It brings members together to share knowledge, experiences, and an interest in the aquarium hobby. The society offers membership and holds meetings at its premises on the last Sunday of each month at 9:30 a.m., providing opportunities to connect, learn, and discuss shared interests. Members also receive “Ilma Car,” a monthly newsletter featuring hobby-related news, updates, and articles.

The society’s website provides a fish shop directory, membership information, and contact details for questions about the organization or aquarium keeping. It also runs the C.A.R.E.S. Preservation Program, which encourages hobbyists to dedicate tank space to conservation-priority species and distribute offspring to qualified hobbyists. The program aims to support information exchange among aquarists, scientists, and conservationists where possible. The Malta Aquarist Society names TROPICAL as its official partner and features the manufacturer’s products for aquarium and pet enthusiasts.
