## Description

Mamoru Martial Arts is a community-focused martial arts school in Rexburg, Idaho, founded in 2020 by Alexander Greenfield. Named for his first sensei, Japanese judo champion Mamoru Shimamoto, the school takes its name from a word meaning “protector”—a fitting reflection of its mission to help students build confidence, discipline, and meaningful connections. Its welcoming dojo brings together college students and families from Rexburg and nearby communities, including Sugar City, St. Anthony, Ashton, and Rigby.

Students can explore more than ten disciplines, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, fencing, judo, karate, MMA, Muay Thai, taekwondo, wrestling, women’s self-defense, and yoga. Programs are available for children and adults, with beginner-friendly classes and self-defense training. Mamoru’s instructors hold black belts, and the school reports more than 150 years of combined martial arts training. Visitors can view class schedules, register for a class, and find pricing information through the school. Mamoru Martial Arts offers a shared space for learning, training, and building community through movement and martial arts.
