## Description

Manawydan is a Czech-Slovak role-playing shard for the classic MMORPG Ultima Online, designed for players seeking a detailed fantasy world and a more demanding alternative to simplified online games. It combines open-ended character interaction with a setting populated by humans, elves, hobbits, dwarves, gnomes, orcs and drow. Players can develop characters in professions such as warrior, ranger, mage, priest, alchemist, thief, artisan and bard, advancing through experience, levels, skills and perks earned through varied activities, including combat and crafting.

The shard runs on a custom world emulator based on the RunUO project and uses its own game client, developed and continually improved with features such as flexible display resolution and character avatars. Its systems encourage independent play, research, community knowledge-sharing and teamwork; groups can earn additional experience in combat. Manawydan offers a Czech-localized game world, with creatures and items named in Czech, and continues to introduce regular updates. Players can also contribute to the community wiki and the shard’s ongoing development.
