## Description

Manchester Inspirational Voices (MIV) is a community Gospel Choir based in the North West of England, united by a love of music, performance and faith. Celebrating 18 years as a vibrant part of the region’s musical community, the choir is known for captivating live performances and a thoughtful, varied repertoire that brings together timeless material and contemporary reflection.

MIV presents two to three concerts each year and offers performance and booking information through its website. Its recorded work includes the album Give Us Peace, a collection described as an invitation to soulful reflection and rejuvenation. The album is available to download on iTunes and other major platforms, while CDs can be requested by contacting the choir directly.

The choir’s history is rooted in Wayne Ellington’s work with community singing. He founded the Manchester Sing Out Choir in 2006, following the Sing Out Project he began in London in 2001, and brought his ideas and talent to Manchester in 2002.
