Set on almost 100 acres overlooking Mount Macedon and Hanging Rock, the stud features paddocks, yards, stables and an indoor arena. The Stewart family established Mandaley Stud in 2000, inspired by their experience showing horses and the purchase of Owendale Biddy Bronze, dam of their successful show pony, McConnell Masterpiece. Mandaley maintains a small, carefully selected collection of ponies and broodmares, including Mandaley Pure Silk, Fairley Tranquillity, Mandaley Mona Lisa and Owendale Biddy Bronze. Its breeding program focuses on quality stock and good temperaments, aiming to produce ponies that children can handle and ride, as well as enjoy showing. Mandaley has bred and produced ponies that have earned Royal show wins and Horse of the Year recognition. The stud’s featured pony, Mandaley Lord Lichfield, was named Champion Riding Pony Colt at the 2013 Sydney Royal Easter Show and later became a successful show pony.
