## Description

Mangrove Lithium is a Canadian cleantech company developing a modular platform for refining battery-grade lithium. Its patented Clear-Li technology converts lithium chloride or lithium sulfate from a broad range of sources into high-purity lithium hydroxide or lithium carbonate. These feedstocks include brines, hard-rock minerals, clays, direct lithium extraction, geothermal sources, and recycled batteries.

The company offers refining solutions for lithium producers, battery recyclers, and battery manufacturers. Its technology can be customized and scaled to suit different capacities, and facilities can be located near extraction sites, recycling operations, or manufacturers. Mangrove says its process uses fewer chemicals, creates less waste, and avoids capital-intensive steps used in traditional refining methods, with the aim of lowering costs and improving efficiency.

By serving multiple points in the battery supply chain, Mangrove helps partners refine lithium to their operational and product specifications. The company opened a commercial electrochemical lithium refining facility in Delta, British Columbia, and is advancing its technology for broader deployment.
