## Description

Suonenjoki Mansikkakarnevaalit, or the Suonenjoki Strawberry Carnival, is a Finnish summer festival celebrating strawberries, live entertainment and local community life. Held in Suonenjoki, the event brings together visitors, performers, partners and local businesses for a lively, strawberry-themed festival experience. Its programme includes concerts and performances, a MansikkaLauantai event, a strawberry-eating contest, the Strawberry Girl competition and a festive parade. Visitors can also explore the KarnevaaliMarkkinat market and find information about MansikkaCaravan and Mansikka-VIP offerings. The 2026 programme featured artists including E. Meli, Costee, Suvi Teräsniska, Olavi Uusivirta, Ismo Alanko, Komiat, YÖ with JP Leppäluoto, and Juha Tapio, alongside performers at MansikkaLauantai. The festival acknowledges support from partners such as the City of Suonenjoki, Pakkasmarja and OP Pohjois-Savo, as well as local businesses and strawberry farms. Described by its organisers as Finland’s most strawberry-themed summer festival, the next edition is scheduled for 16–17 July 2027.
