## Description

The Vlaams Expertisepunt Mantelzorg is a Flemish information and support resource for people who provide unpaid care and for those who work with them. Supported by the Flemish government, it brings together practical guidance, advice and experiences to help make caring responsibilities more manageable. The website explains what counts as informal care, who may be a caregiver and how the caregiver status works, including information for young carers. Visitors can explore financial support, leave options, help at home, respite care, psychosocial support, self-care, and ways to combine caregiving with work or study. It also covers assistive devices, home adaptations and managing a care recipient’s finances. The Expertisepunt connects caregivers with activities, peer meetings, care holidays, personal stories and six recognised Flemish caregiver associations. Professionals in care, education, workplaces and local government can find resources to support caregivers in their communities. The site also shares news, events, figures and publications, and directs visitors to free listening lines operated by caregiver associations for questions or support.
