## Description

Manuela Collis is a dedicated doctoral student specializing in Strategic Management at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. She brings a diverse academic background, holding a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Banking and Finance from Bern University of Applied Sciences. As a PhD Fellow at the Institute for Gender and the Economy (GATE) and a graduate fellow at the Schwartz Reisman Institute of Technology and Society, Manuela examines the interplay between gender and social dynamics in organizational settings.

Her research focuses on understanding how social norms and structural conditions affect individuals' contributions in high-risk, high-reward environments such as entrepreneurship and science. Utilizing methodologies like laboratory and online field experiments, her notable works, including “Stereotypes and Belief Updating,” explore critical issues of inequality and behavioral economics. Manuela also offers peer review support, providing valuable insights for colleagues aiming to publish in leading academic journals.
