## Description

Mapdwell is an energy data intelligence company recently acquired by Palmetto, a leading technology company in the clean energy sector. Mapdwell's cutting-edge technology offers an instant assessment of a building's rooftop potential for solar energy production and storage. By utilizing this technology, homeowners can quickly evaluate the cost-benefit analysis of installing solar panels, including the duration to recoup their investment and the carbon offset provided by the system. Developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and piloted by the City of Cambridge, Mapdwell's tool can map entire cities and has already analyzed over 38 million buildings. This impressive achievement has earned Mapdwell recognition from Fast Company's Innovation by Design Awards. The acquisition of Mapdwell by Palmetto will enhance the company's ability to showcase renewable energy's feasibility to customers and accelerate the adoption of clean energy on a larger scale.
