## Description

MapGeo is a mapping platform for cities, towns, and counties, designed to help local governments connect civic departments with residents and businesses. Trusted by public-sector organizations across the country, it provides a central hub for accessing community and geographic information. The platform is used by municipal staff as a research tool, helping them find information and prepare for field visits.

MapGeo offers an interface that incorporates familiar Google Maps features, including Google Street View and saved map views that users can share through URLs. Its site also highlights ongoing feature additions and enhancements intended to make the application more useful and support efficient research. Visitors can select from a broad range of participating communities and regional organizations to access their MapGeo sites.

MapGeo is built and powered by The Sanborn Map Company, Inc., which provides customer support for the platform. The service is positioned as a practical resource for local governments seeking to make mapping information more accessible to staff, residents, and local businesses.
