## Description

Maratona di Pisa is a road-running event that brings athletes, recreational runners and supporters to Pisa to combine sport with the city’s history and architecture. Organised by 1063AD S.S.D.a R.L., the event features the Pisa Marathon and half marathon, promoted alongside La Pisanina, as well as a Christmas Run. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday, 20 December, with registration available through the official website.

The course is described as fast and scenic, passing notable parts of Pisa, including the Lungarni and historic centre, and offering runners a finish near the famous Leaning Tower. The event welcomes participants of different ages and experience levels, while giving visitors a chance to enjoy the city during the festive season. The website provides practical race information, course details, registration fees, regulations, location guidance and Expo Village information. It also shares news, event photos and videos, media resources, and volunteer opportunities. Participants and accompanying guests may also find special experiences connected to race weekend, including a guided night visit to the Tower of Pisa.
