## Description

Marcus Clay Target Team is a nonprofit youth development organization and booster club serving students at Marcus High School and surrounding schools. Its mission is to introduce middle and high school students to organized clay target sports while fostering marksmanship, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The program offers team participation at Varsity, Jr. Varsity, and Intermediate levels, with opportunities to learn and compete in sporting clays, trap, and skeet. Coaching draws on the experience of specialists including Dan Carlisle of The Carlisle Academy, who focuses primarily on sporting clays and trap, and skeet expert Paul Giambrone. Alongside athletic skill, the team places strong emphasis on character, integrity, respect, and safe firearm handling. Athletes and parents are expected to follow team leadership and uphold the organization’s values. The team also recognizes achievements through awards, shares information about its coaches and leadership, and engages its community through fundraising, including its annual Sporting Clays Tournament. Marcus Clay Target Team presents clay target sports as a lifelong pursuit and a setting for responsible youth development.
