The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is a compassionate brand dedicated to rescuing and providing lifelong sanctuary for horses and ponies that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. Founded in 1988 by Rosemary Kind, our organization has been tirelessly working for over three decades to rescue, rehabilitate, and retrain these sentient beings. We firmly believe that horses and ponies, who have been close companions to humans for centuries, deserve our kindness and care.

Through our extensive network of knowledgeable carers, most of these beautiful creatures are given care for life. For those with more complex needs, we provide peaceful sanctuaries where they can receive specialized care. Additionally, we offer equine-assisted services, utilizing an equine-centered approach to create a sense of sanctuary for both horses and ponies, as well as people.
