Margins is an online community that aims to create a supportive space for individuals suffering from mental illness. While mental health care professionals play an important role, Margins believes that sufferers themselves should also be actively involved in their own journey towards mental health. By collectively seeking to understand mental illness and supporting each other, Margins provides a platform for individuals to gain self-awareness and lead more fulfilling lives. Founded in March 2022, Margins started as an informal online community offering free online courses on self-awareness. In September 2022, they registered as a not-for-profit company and expanded their approach to help socially excluded groups cope with inner suffering, such as shame, inferiority, and rejection, through self-help and support groups. The Margins team, led by Founding Director Shevonne Henry, is dedicated to empowering individuals and contributing to the empowerment of society as a whole. Margins believes that by addressing marginalization and self-expression, marginalized lives can truly matter. Join the movement against social exclusion by becoming a part of Margins and supporting their mission to promote mental well-being and self-empowerment.
