## Description

MARNET, the Macedonian Academic Research Network, serves as the official registrar for the national top-level domains .mk and .мкд. Based in Skopje, MARNET is dedicated to supporting its users by providing essential services related to domain registration and management. Their offerings include the option to register and renew domains, verify domain availability, and receive critical notifications regarding their domain status.

Starting June 1, 2026, MARNET will enhance communication by reintroducing email notifications to domain owners, ensuring they remain informed about vital updates such as expiration dates and administrative changes. These notifications are designed to prevent issues like domain loss and unintentional disconnection from the internet. MARNET's commitment to transparency and user support is evident in their proactive approach to keep domain owners up to date on important events and changes.
