Marshall Brewing Company carries on Tulsa's rich brewing history, which dates back to the late 1930s with the Ahrens Brewing Company and their Ranger Beer line. Ahrens Brewing Company, which opened in May of 1938, quickly gained popularity among Tulsans with their Ranger Beer, Ranger Special Brew, and Ranger Winter Brew. However, the brewery unfortunately faced bankruptcy in February of 1940 due to various challenges, including unfair practices from breweries in Oklahoma City and the limitations of producing only nonintoxicating beer until 1995. In the mid-1990s, brewing made a comeback in Tulsa with Marshall Brewing Company leading the way. Today, they continue to honor Tulsa's brewing heritage by offering a wide range of exceptional beers.
