## Description

**Brand Description: International Osprey Data Project**

The International Osprey Data Project, led by retired university professor Mary Ann Steggles and co-founder Claudio Eduardo, is a pioneering long-term research initiative dedicated to understanding the complexities of osprey mortality and behavior. Based on the Canadian Prairies, the project harnesses collaborative efforts from citizen scientists to gather vital data on osprey populations globally. With a focus on studying the survival rates of third hatch ospreys, the project delves into the impacts of climate change on breeding patterns, migratory routes, and the phenomenon of siblicide within nests.

Mary Ann's passion for raptors stems from her extensive academic background, which includes expertise in art history and ceramics, as well as her advocacy for environmental preservation. Through her blog, she shares insights and fosters awareness of the challenges faced by birds of prey, emphasizing the urgent need for environmental stewardship. As they embark on this important research journey, the project aims to improve the conditions for raptors and promote harmony between humans and wildlife.
