About

Description

716West is a historic brand that encompasses the Mary Gay House, a pre-antebellum home built in the 1820s in Decatur, Georgia. Named after its famous tenant Mary Ann Harris Gay, this beautiful house is now owned by the Junior League of DeKalb County. As stewards of the Mary Gay House, the League maintains and rents it out for various events, contributing to their mission of community service.

The house itself has a rich history, having been moved from its original location on Marshall Street to its current home on West Trinity Street. It has been carefully restored to its Federal Period style of 1815-1830, thanks to the efforts of architect and historian Norman Askins. In addition to serving as a venue for events, 716West is also the League's headquarters and meeting space.

By utilizing 716West, you not only support the preservation of local history but also contribute to the essential work undertaken by the Junior League of DeKalb County
