## Description

The Maryland Wineries Association (MWA) is a non-profit trade organization that represents the 80+ wineries in Maryland. Founded in 1984, the MWA's mission is to develop and expand the grape and wine industry in Maryland through education and promotion. As a member of the MWA, wineries receive numerous benefits, including cooperative marketing activities that showcase each member winery in brochures and other printings. Participation in MWA-sponsored festivals allows wineries to reach over 40,000 visitors each year. Members also have access to cooperative purchasing opportunities and legal counsel to navigate legislative and legal issues. The MWA offers educational opportunities, including seminars and trainings, to help members improve their winemaking and marketing skills. Additionally, MWA sponsors two exclusive wine competitions for members. By joining the Maryland Wineries Association, wineries can strengthen the industry and benefit from the resources and support provided by the association.
