## Description

Masters of Sport of Russia is an English-language directory of athletes awarded the Russian Masters of Sport title. The title system has recognized high-performing athletes since 1934, with awards granted by the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation according to standards set for each discipline. The directory brings together 143,191 verified recipient records across 232 sports, helping visitors explore the people and history behind these sporting honors.

Users can search for athletes by name, sport, region, year, or rank, browse an A–Z index, and explore dedicated listings and statistics. The site also organizes records by 89 regions, 19 years, and seven ranks. Its coverage includes disciplines such as rhythmic gymnastics, wrestling, sambo, swimming, powerlifting, athletics, boxing, and judo, alongside many others. Reference materials—including a FAQ, methodology, and rank glossary—explain how the directory is structured and how its information should be understood. Citing the Russian Ministry of Sport as its source, the directory provides a searchable resource for anyone researching Russian sport and its title holders.
