## Description

Matheson is a New Zealand brand based in Hawke’s Bay, creating handcrafted leather, canvas and sporting goods to order. Led by craftsman Les Matheson, whose traditional leatherworking experience spans more than three decades, the business emphasizes careful construction, durable materials and personalized service. Its products are designed for travelers, lifestyle customers and lovers of field sports, with customization and embossed monogramming available on selected items.

The range includes leather travel bags in cabin and travel sizes, canvas-and-leather bags in several formats, wash bags, wine carriers and game bags. Sporting products include single and double gun slips, canvas gun slips and leather cartridge bags. Materials include premium Italian vegetable-tanned leather, English cotton twill canvas, cotton Cavalry Twill linings and, for gun slips, soft New Zealand wool sheepskin. Details such as hand-sewn construction, brass hardware and protective zip features reflect the brand’s practical focus as well as its traditional style. Matheson presents its made-to-order pieces as long-lasting possessions, combining individual character with craftsmanship intended to stand up to years of use.
