## Description

The Matteo Caleo Foundation is an organization established to honor Matteo Caleo, a neuroscientist, teacher, mentor, and man of deep faith. His work was marked by methodological rigor, intellectual honesty, and respect for others, alongside a commitment to supporting young people and those in need. The Foundation seeks to carry forward these values through initiatives that connect science, education, social benefit, and faith.

Its activities include education and training at university and postgraduate levels, support for scientific research of particular social interest, and cultural, artistic, and recreational events that promote volunteering. The Foundation also provides charitable assistance, including distance support and donations of money, goods, or services to disadvantaged people. Among its initiatives is the Matteo Caleo National Award for doctoral theses in neuroscience, recognizing research in this field. The Foundation also participates in scientific and educational events and supports recognition of students’ academic achievements. Through this work, it aims to encourage young researchers, foster socially valuable activities, and sustain the path Matteo traced.
