## Description

Matthew Remski is a multifaceted author, educator, and co-host of the Conspirituality Podcast, focusing on the intersections of cults, capitalism, and hope. His latest book, Surviving Modern Yoga, draws on investigative research and survivor stories to expose the abuse within the Ashtanga yoga community and reflect critically on the cultural structures that support such misconduct. With a rich portfolio that includes nine published works spanning poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, Matthew brings a unique perspective to the conversations surrounding spiritual practices and their often shadowy dynamics. He has contributed to major publications like The Walrus and TIME, enhancing public discourse on topics like cultic dynamics and community health. Through his 8-hour training courses designed for yoga teacher trainings, Matthew equips participants with essential tools for fostering safer, healthier spiritual communities. As a thought leader in the realms of wellness, conspiracy theories, and spiritual delusion, he tackles these vital issues on his podcast, empowering listeners to critically analyze the narratives that shape contemporary spirituality. Matthew resides in Toronto, deeply engaged with themes of justice and healing within spiritual practices.
