# Maya Project - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `mayaproject.org.uk` ## Description The Maya Project is an international collaborative network bringing together scholars, teachers, health practitioners, artists, and community leaders. Its work focuses on the health and well-being of Maya communities in Yucatán, Mexico, using innovative, interdisciplinary research and participatory methods. The project aims to co-create useful resources and generate knowledge in partnership with communities, while recognizing that its research takes place on the ancestral lands of Maya Indigenous Peoples. It emphasizes ethical responsibilities and meaningful, respectful collaboration. The project shares its work through research projects, publications, exhibitions, public events, and educational resources. These activities support the exchange of knowledge and help make research accessible to community members and wider audiences. The Maya Project presents itself as a platform for collaboration rather than a commercial provider, connecting academic and community perspectives to address biocultural realities. Its website also provides information about the team and ways to make contact. The project is associated with Loughborough University’s School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Social Sciences _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idKl6F3ccQ/w/1029/h/453/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793230772525) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Orange Roughy | #db4819 | accent | | Torea Bay | #0f3d81 | dark | | Golden Sand | #f4c77d | light | ## Fonts - var(--bs-font-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ - var(--bs-font-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
