## Description

SouthCoast Wind is an innovative developer committed to enhancing New England's energy landscape with clean, renewable power. Located over 30 miles south of Martha’s Vineyard and 20 miles south of Nantucket, SouthCoast Wind is poised to harness an offshore lease area that could generate over 2,400 megawatts of low-cost renewable energy, enough to power more than one million homes. The project aims to deliver this energy by the end of the 2020s, aligning with Massachusetts and Rhode Island’s renewable energy goals for 2030.

With a strong focus on economic growth, SouthCoast Wind is expected to create 27,000 jobs and invest $115 million in local communities. The team prioritizes environmental stewardship, leveraging the expertise of its sponsor, OW Ocean Winds, to ensure the project respects marine life and local fishing activities. By fostering a sustainable energy future, SouthCoast Wind not only contributes to climate solutions but also empowers the region's economy and workforce through clean energy initiatives.
