## Description

Maymead is a family-owned company providing asphalt paving, highway construction, and materials production across western North Carolina, southwest Virginia, and eastern Tennessee. Its story traces back to a small farm in Mountain City, Tennessee, in 1746, and the company describes its shared purpose as supplying the region with quality asphalt and aggregates. With more than 90 years in business, over 400 team members, 16 asphalt plants, and one quarry, Maymead serves communities through a network of production facilities and construction operations.

The company’s services include asphalt paving, asphalt production, aggregate and other materials production, and recycling. By combining construction capabilities with the production of asphalt and aggregates, Maymead supports a range of highway and paving projects. The organization emphasizes its family-owned and operated heritage and presents its employees as central to its work, while also offering career opportunities for people seeking to develop their careers with an established company. With offices and plants across its service area, Maymead focuses on supplying materials and delivering paving and highway construction services to regional customers.
