May Measure Month (MMM) is a global screening campaign initiated by the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) to raise awareness about the dangers of untreated hypertension. Every May, millions of people worldwide get their blood pressure checked for free, aiming to prevent the number one cause of preventable death - high blood pressure. By simply providing a quick arm squeeze, lives can be saved. With over 10 million lives lost each year due to high blood pressure, the importance of early detection cannot be overstated. With nearly 6 million people screened in 100 countries and over 1 million cases of untreated hypertension identified so far, MMM is making a significant impact.
