Dr. Mayuri Wijayasundara is a distinguished researcher and expert in circular economy strategies, with a robust background in business development and project management. Beginning her professional journey in 2004 within the cement and building materials sector, she played a key role at Holcim (now Lafarge Holcim), where she contributed to national policies for waste recovery in Sri Lanka. 

In 2012, driven by a passion for sustainability, Dr. Wijayasundara transitioned to academia and research, where she has since developed innovative strategies to foster effective transitions to circular economies. As the current Director of Anvarta and an Honorary Fellow at Deakin University, she specializes in reshaping production, distribution, and consumption practices.

Her work encompasses consulting, lecturing, and sharing insights through writings and public speaking engagements. With qualifications including a PhD from the University of Melbourne and various professional certifications, Dr. Wijayasundara continues to influence and educate on the importance of sustainable practices in diverse sectors.
