## Description

Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) is an independent nonprofit blood center and a division of New York Blood Center, Inc. Since 1948, MBC has supported community health by collecting and distributing blood for patients in need. It serves communities across Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin and describes itself as one of the largest community-based nonprofit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States.

MBC helps people participate in its lifesaving mission through appointments at donation centers and community blood drives. Donors can give whole blood, double red cells, platelets, plasma, and other special donations, subject to eligibility requirements. The organization provides information about the donation process, post-donation care, donor eligibility, and what happens to donated blood. Returning donors can use its online portal to review prior donation results and schedule appointments, while first-time donors can find eligibility guidance and answers to common questions.

Beyond blood donation, MBC offers ways to host a blood drive, volunteer, or make a financial gift.
