## Description

MCCEE is a small non-profit foundation working to improve children’s health and support children with special needs in Uzbekistan. Its activities focus on two areas: sharing information about vitamin D and its role in preventing rickets and other vitamin D deficiency-related diseases, and bringing care clowning to children through humor, play, and imagination. To pursue this work, Uzbek and Dutch paediatricians collaborate with care clowns, combining medical knowledge with creative, child-centered support. MCCEE’s initiatives include hospital clown visits, clown training, workshops, and masterclasses, with activities reported in Samarkand, Tashkent, and Tajikistan. The foundation also provides information about vitamin D deficiency, rickets, and hospital clowning, and shares updates through its blog. Through these educational and artistic programs, MCCEE aims to promote children’s wellbeing while making care settings more engaging and welcoming for young people. The organisation offers opportunities to learn about its work, follow project news, and contribute through donations.
