McKenzie River Trust is a nonprofit land trust dedicated to protecting and caring for lands and rivers in Western Oregon. Since its establishment in 1989, the trust has successfully preserved critical habitats and scenic lands in the McKenzie Basin and other watersheds within the region. With a service area that now extends from Reedsport to Yachats, the trust has expanded its presence along the Oregon coast and opened its first field office in Newport.

Over the years, McKenzie River Trust has partnered with landowners, members, foundations, and other organizations to protect over 7,000 acres of land, restore 25 miles of salmon-bearing streams, and plant more than a million trees and shrubs. Their conservation efforts aim to benefit fish, wildlife, water quality, and the local communities of Western Oregon. The trust also encourages public involvement through volunteer opportunities, events, and donations, allowing individuals and groups to contribute to the preservation and restoration of natural systems in the region.
