Established in 1992, this annual competition attracts participants from across China, the United States, Australia, and Malaysia, with over 1685 institutions, 59611 teams, and nearly 180,000 individuals registering for the 2023 event. The 2024 competition's challenges will be unveiled on various websites in September, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Higher Education Press.

Organized by the Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, the competition's partners and exclusive sponsor is Higher Education Press.
