## Description

Manchester Select is a community sports charity based in Greater Manchester that brings people together through sport and fundraising events to support The Christie. Inspired by a personal experience and a shared love of rugby league, the organisation began with a charity match and has grown into a community club with ambitions to involve more sports, teams and supporters.

Its events connect athletes, families, volunteers, businesses and spectators, with opportunities to play, attend, volunteer, donate or sponsor. Manchester Select’s first major event in 2024 featured a match against Great Britain Police and a women’s fixture with Keighley Cougars, raising £79,484 for The Christie. The programme has since expanded beyond rugby league, including a T20 cricket event that raised £4,700.

The charity offers sponsorship packages at several levels, from player sponsorship to tournament sponsorship, and welcomes businesses interested in bespoke support. Manchester Select aims to grow its event calendar, open opportunities to more sporting communities and raise further funds for The Christie through sport.
