# AAU Girls Basketball - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `mdaaugirlsbasketball.org` ## Description Maryland District Girls AAU Basketball is a grassroots youth basketball program focused on rebuilding the state’s strong tradition in girls’ basketball. Its mission is to nurture young talent, encourage a lasting passion for the game, and create opportunities for players to compete at high levels. The organization aims to foster a more supportive culture while helping Maryland teams and athletes regain prominence on the national stage. The program offers athlete memberships that allow youth members to participate in AAU sports and events at local, regional, and national levels. It also provides coach memberships, with athlete safety emphasized through background screening for coaches. For teams, the AAU Girls Basketball National Ranking season offers standings based on events and games across states, regions, and conferences, leading to a World Championship. The Maryland District is led by directors and commissioners and recognizes district champions, including teams in its 2030 and 2031 age groups. Through membership, competition, rankings, and community support, it seeks to strengthen girls’ basketball across Maryland. ## Industries - 🏈 Sports - 🏈 Basketball _(under Sports)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id3FGIRlDO/w/168/h/200/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792078369947) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Bay of Many | #2a3684 | accent | | Red Berry | #970000 | dark | | Froly | #f278a1 | light | ## Fonts - var(--title_heroHeading_fontFamily) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
