## Description

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence Industry is a government institution responsible for shaping and implementing national policy in the defence industry and supporting the sector’s development. Its responsibilities include preparing the State Defence Order Programme for submission to the Cabinet of Ministers and proposing state budget funding needed to carry it out. Under approved programmes and within its authority, the Ministry oversees the creation, production, modernization, repair, disposal, and import and export of defence products. These include military equipment, weapons, engineering equipment, spare parts, ammunition, and other items for defence purposes. The Ministry may also organize the supply of weapons, military equipment, ammunition, and related resources to the Armed Forces and other legally established military formations. In addition, it promotes international cooperation in the defence industry. Its work extends to industry development, workforce preparation, scientific and university partnerships, and engagement with international partners through meetings and exhibitions such as ADEX. The Ministry’s website provides public information and news, as well as access to government services, legislation, announcements, and contact details.
