## Description

The Hungarian Tobacco Retailers Alliance (Magyar Dohány Kiskereskedők Szövetsége, or MDKSZ) is a professional association representing tobacco retailers in Hungary. Established in 2002, it works to promote members’ interests and support the development and professional standing of the country’s tobacco retail sector. The Alliance represents retailers in discussions with lawmakers, professional organisations and other decision-makers, helping bring industry perspectives into relevant debates.

MDKSZ also provides members and visitors with current information on regulatory changes, professional announcements, market developments and sector events. Its website shares news and resources about tobacco retailing, including commentary on proposed changes to the retail system and tobacco product pricing. To support professional learning and connection, the association organises conferences, industry forums and training sessions, where participants can explore Hungarian and international trends and build professional relationships.

The organisation also engages internationally and publishes updates through its news, magazine, video and event channels. Based in Tata, Hungary, MDKSZ presents itself as a collective voice for tobacco retailers, combining advocacy, practical information and opportunities for professional exchange.
