## Description

MDS UK Patient Support Group is a charity supporting people affected by myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML), as well as their families. Its aim is to help people navigate diagnosis, treatment and life beyond diagnosis through reliable information, personal support and connection with others who understand. The organisation provides clear guidance on MDS symptoms, diagnosis, sub-types, risk scoring and treatment, including information about azacitidine, blood transfusions and clinical trials. Its resources include patient guides, booklets, factsheets, a glossary and practical advice on living and travelling with MDS. Members can access online and in-person support meetings, including sessions with specialists, and a community for sharing experiences. MDS UK also offers one-to-one help, real stories, guidance for conversations with healthcare teams, and information about patient rights. The charity shares news and updates, supports fundraising and donations, and invites volunteers and healthcare professionals to join its network. Membership is free, and the group works with other organisations to improve information, awareness and patient care.
