## Description

MEC Wuppertal e. V. is a model railway club in the Bergisches Land region of Germany, welcoming visitors to its clubhouse on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. The club brings railway history and model-making to life through a wide range of layouts, exhibits, and shared activities. Its model railways span multiple gauges and themes, including German and Swiss landscapes, a 1960s-era layout, garden railways, and a detailed model of Wuppertal’s famous Schwebebahn. Visitors can also explore displays on the history of model railways, historic trains, and railway photography, including collections connected with club founder and renowned railway photographer Carl Bellingrodt. The club presents photographs, videos, archival material, and handcrafted models, and continues to develop new layouts and projects. Its exhibitions include historic railway vehicles and buildings, as well as local landmarks recreated in miniature. MEC Wuppertal shares its long-standing enthusiasm for railways through public displays, club events, and its online collection of stories and images. Visitors are encouraged to check current travel information before arriving.
