## Description

The Meccano Society of Scotland is a vibrant community dedicated to the beloved construction toy system invented by Frank Hornby in 1901. Established in 1984, this club caters to a wide range of enthusiasts, from builders to collectors, all sharing a passion for Meccano. The society organizes approximately five meetings annually, including an engaging all-day event in Menstrie every May and a significant annual exhibition showcasing the remarkable creativity of its members.

Members frequently participate in various exhibitions throughout the year, displaying innovative models and competing in challenges, such as the Menstrie Competition, which invites participants to create machines using Meccano parts. The society also publishes a newsletter three times a year, featuring club news and past issues available online for members to explore. Emphasizing inclusivity, the society welcomes anyone interested in Meccano to join, fostering a supportive environment for all levels of experience. Visitors can also view extensive photo galleries from exhibitions and meetings on the society's website.
