## Description

The Medalla de los Amantes de Teruel is a distinction celebrating enduring love and the cultural legacy of the Lovers of Teruel. Since 1972, the city has presented medals to couples marking significant wedding anniversaries, including bronze, silver, gold and platinum celebrations. The recognition is also awarded to cultural figures and organizations that have helped share the story of the Lovers of Teruel. The annual presentation ceremony takes place in February, on the weekend closest to Valentine’s Day, bringing recipients to Teruel for a public tribute.

The organization’s website provides information about the medal, application requirements, registrations and the program of events. Visitors can also browse photo galleries, news and lists of couples receiving medals, and find details about the organizing committee and its activities. Recent announcements include application openings and the presentation of honorary medals alongside awards to couples from across Spain. Based at Calle Amantes 17 in Teruel, the organization offers weekday contact hours and supports the celebration of the city’s identity as a place associated with love.
