MedILS is an international renaissance project and scientific experiment known as the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences. It aims to educate a special generation of young scientists who are creative, multidisciplinary professionals accustomed to thinking the unthinkable and experimenting accordingly. Within MedILS, various research groups focus on different areas of study, including biology of robustness, skin eco-biology and biochemistry, and cellular signaling in tumors.

They explore topics such as the resilience of organisms, skin aging, protein-protein interactions, and altered signaling pathways in disease progression. MedILS also hosts a range of events, including conferences and workshops, and is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities for high-quality gatherings. Situated in the beautiful Marjan forest park, MedILS offers a unique environment for scientific exploration and collaboration.
