MedISAO is an FDA-recognized Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (ISAO) focused on post-market cybersecurity for medical device manufacturers. Operating under a Memorandum of Understanding with the FDA since 2018, renewed in 2024, it helps manufacturers manage cybersecurity obligations throughout a device’s lifecycle. MedISAO membership is included with every Medcrypt Security Intelligence (MSI) subscription and supports manufacturers working to meet Section 524B requirements.

Services include a coordinated vulnerability disclosure program, device-specific vulnerability alerts, cybersecurity intelligence, training, and practical guidance. Alerts are connected to members’ device portfolios through Medcrypt’s Helm platform, where LLM-enhanced analysis helps prioritize relevant vulnerabilities and actions. Members can route disclosures through the established program and access resources to support an active, documented post-market cybersecurity process. Under applicable FDA post-market conditions, members may also qualify for relief from certain correction and removal reporting requirements under 21 CFR 806.

MedISAO offers a knowledge center, on-demand webinars, and a community for medical device peers to share practices.
