# medpro-foresight.eu - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `medpro-foresight.eu` ## Description MEDPRO, or Mediterranean Prospects, is a three-year European research project focused on the future of the Mediterranean region. Funded under the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme and coordinated by the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, it brings together 17 research institutes from 13 countries. The project aims to deepen understanding of the political, economic and social challenges facing Southern Mediterranean states and to assess potential policy choices and outcomes. MEDPRO’s research covers energy and climate change, geopolitics and governance, economic development and regional integration, sustainable development and resource management, financial services and capital markets, human capital and social protection, and demographic change, migration, health and gender. Its work includes forward-looking analysis and scenarios for the Euro-Mediterranean region, including assessments of possible transitions toward sustainability by 2030. The project shares its findings through research publications, events, news and a newsletter, with materials available in English, French and Arabic.
