It is a free online archive and distribution server that specializes in hosting complete but unpublished manuscripts, also known as preprints. These preprints are preliminary reports of work conducted in the medical, clinical, and related health sciences that have not yet undergone peer review. It is important to note that they should not be relied upon for clinical practice or health-related behavior, and should not be reported as established information in news media.
