## Description

Japan Association for International Racing and Stud Book (JAIRS) is a prominent public foundation dedicated to promoting international collaboration and understanding within the equine industry. Established in December 2010 through the merger of the Japan Racing International Exchange Association and the Japan Thoroughbred Registry Association, JAIRS has evolved to serve as a pivotal organization within the racing community.

Based in Tokyo, with an additional office in Hokkaido, JAIRS plays a vital role by providing valuable information on horse racing both domestically and internationally. They focus on the registration of thoroughbred horses, including pedigree and breeding registration, as well as offering assistance for retired racehorses. Their services also encompass technical exchanges and participation in international racing events and conferences. By enhancing the breeding and registration processes, JAIRS contributes to the welfare of horses and promotes fair practices in the equine industry through research, information dissemination, and comprehensive support initiatives.
