## Description

Meinelschmidt Distillery is a small-batch craft distillery in downtown Hagerstown, Maryland, founded by Washington County natives Cort and Chelsea Meinelschmidt. Established in 2020, the business produces whiskey, bourbon, and vodka using locally sourced grains and works with local suppliers. Its offerings include handcrafted spirits, a drink menu, distillery tours, and online purchases of products and gift cards. Visitors can also explore membership options and buy tickets to upcoming events.

The founders’ enthusiasm for craft distilling and the welcoming hospitality they encountered while visiting distilleries inspired them to create a place where guests can enjoy locally made spirits and a memorable visit. Meinelschmidt also honors Medal of Honor recipients: its whiskey labels share their stories, reflecting the distillery’s commitment to giving back to people who have served. Located at 54 South Potomac Street, the distillery welcomes guests on select days and evenings. Through its spirits, tours, memberships, and community events, Meinelschmidt Distillery brings small-batch distilling and local pride to Hagerstown.
