## Description

The Italian Melanoma Intergroup (IMI) is an organization dedicated to scientific and health research into melanoma. Its mission is to advance understanding of the disease and support improvements in its diagnosis, treatment and prevention. IMI brings together members through its scientific committees, working groups and educational activities, and provides information for healthcare professionals, patients and the public.

Its work includes clinical studies, genetic testing and quality control, research teleconsultation, and training in melanoma diagnosis and treatment. The organization offers e-learning programmes for healthcare professionals, courses, workshops and national congresses, alongside resources on clinical research and melanoma care. IMI also promotes prevention campaigns, educational materials and public outreach through videos, podcasts and media communications. Visitors can find information about melanoma, locate IMI members and their affiliated facilities, explore research calls and learn about membership. The organization also provides an online service through which people can contact an IMI specialist. Through research, education and awareness initiatives, IMI supports collaboration and informed engagement around melanoma.
