## Description

The Melanoma World Society (MWS) is an international organization focused on melanoma and skin cancer. It succeeds the WHO Melanoma Group, which established the World Congress of Melanoma and conducted clinical trials and other projects involving people with melanoma. After the WHO group was disbanded in 2005, MWS was initiated at the 8th World Congress of Melanoma in Hamburg in 2013, founded in Munich in June 2014, and registered in January 2016.
